I tried!!

Well, to those of you who get "Taste of Home" magazine.... here is my version of the fruit centerpiece in the last issue. Many of you know Kathy (French) Irvine, she is getting married in November and we had a bridal shower for her today. I told the hostess I would bring fruit and thought that fruit tray was so beautiful. However, I am NOT Martha Stewart (or Martha Bryan for that matter... :)) so it didn't quite look like the picture. But I had fun trying and it was pretty in a Vonnie sort of way. hahahaha

I think you must be at least related to Martha Bryan, for that centerpiece turned out BEAUTIFUL! =) I love the sunflowers in it too! How neat! You did a good job! Since you had told me you were going to do it today, I was praying this morning for you and your centerpiece! =D Glad that Kathy's shower turned out nice. I'm glad she's getting married again, how sweet!
Again, you did a GREAT job, I love your centerpiece!! It looks beautiful and YUMMY! =)

My goodness, it's gorgeous! I'd hate to see what would happen if I tried to put that much fruit on one platter. I definitely have NO talent in that area!...lol...
love you, can't WAIT to see you in 3 weeks!

Vonnie, you don't give yourself enough credit. That thing is GORGEOUS!!! I'm sure it took a long time to make, it's almost too much work to make it worth eating! I'm so glad to hear that Kathy is getting married again. Thanks for posting the photo. Maybe you should be involved in the decorations at the wedding.

Hi,
Please forgive me for trespassing.
I am Phillip's Aunt Libby. I was looking for Daryl's blog and just knew it would be on yours.

I saw that centerpiece in Taste of Home and was going to try it myself. I think yours turned out beautiful. So glad I stopped by.

Dear Vonnie,
I saw your beautiful centerpiece and thought I must let you know how gorgeous it is. I didn't want you to believe you own comments that you're not good in this type of stuff and bury your talent! Then I saw all your other "fans" and their comments...obviously we all agree.....your're terrific! Toooo bad you live so far away from us so we can't "use" you and your creativity. :)
Lots of love, Susan, Jeff and Colton

Just looking for your address to send one of Grandma Bryan's nieces that wanted to learn about you kids and had to read the comments of your masterpiece! I think that you have surpased either Martha to be willing to even try such a feat.:-) ("I know one of those Marthas better than the other) You did an excellent job but then I am a bit prejudiced. Love, Moma
