Here the boys are at the ice park Saturday. I had to leave to go get Katie and Heidi so I didn't get to go, but I left the camera with Andrew so he got a few pictures.

This is always so fun for the kids and that day was especially nice 'cuz it was around 40 above and sunny.

Here is Grant sliding down the big ice slide. They have all kinds of slides and baskets that the kids can slide and spin in. Plus the ice art is fantastic. Andrew was not too thrilled to have to take pictures so he didn't take any of the art.
The kids have a ball here and we usually make it an annual thing.

I found this picture, it will help you see why Taylor has his mouth open in the picture above. This is of Andrew's family, the Bryan's, at Niagara Falls last summer. There are three people on the right of the picture, Lincoln, Andrew's brother, Laura, Andrew's sister, and Natasha, Laura's older daughter, who all have their mouth open. And I actually have another picture or two of Lincoln with his mouth open. So funny!!!! This is Andrew's family in it's entirety, except me, who is taking the picture. We had so much fun last summer getting to be together with all of the cousins before half of them went to Romania and Colombia to be missionaries. We are constantly remembering something or 'other that happened while we were all together. Good times.... Well, now I see that you really can't see the open mouths very well, so I'll post a larger picture a little lower down the page.

Well, tonight both of my girls are gone. I guess I am getting old, but I do so enjoy their company and I miss them when they are gone. Katie went to Tetlin with several from the youth group, Heidi went to her friend's house for the night.

The boys and I are planning to go to the ice park tomorrow afternoon. Maybe Andrew will get to come too, but I doubt it. He is heading to Ft. Yukon this weekend. They will be there all summer, hopefully getting to come home on the weekends. He almost has his pilot's license and when he gets it he will be able to fly his Super Cub up there and back as he wishes. So maybe if he gets to missing me really bad.... :) I'm going to try to find a picture of the Super Cub to post with this post.

Aurora

I forgot to tell you about one other member of our family...we just got her in October. She is our Chesapeake Bay Retriever puppy named Aurora. She was born in late August and is light tan colored with thick, curly hair. She has already learned sit, stay, go (although she isn't perfect every time), she is learning to shake our hand but hasn't learned "come" at all. We have a ways to go on that one. I'll try to get a picture of her on here real soon. She is a real sweetie and all of the kids adore her. You should see her run after Drew on the snowmachine... she has so much fun. Oh also, she retrieves great, but she doesn't give the ball back after she gets it. That will take some more work.

My Boys

Drew is our third child, first boy. He was born on June 3, 1996. That makes him 10, he is in the 5th grade. He loves snowmachining, soccer and working with his dad. (most of the time) We named him Edgar Andrew Bryan III, but since we already have an Edgar in the family, and an Andrew, we shortened his name to Drew.

Grant Carson Lee Bryan was born on June 1st, 2000. He is 6 and in the 1st grade. He loves doing things with his big brother, Drew, like snowmachining. He is a tough little guy and tons of fun to be around.

Then we had the surprises, Thing 1 and Thing 2 is what I sometimes call them. We thought we were done having kids but God had other plans, and we are so thankful he sent these two rays of sunshine to us. Tyler Case Lincoln Bryan was born at 1:41p.m. on August 8, 2002, he looks more like a Sankey. Taylor Colt Lewis Bryan was born at 1:42p.m. on August 8, 2002. Taylor favors the Bryan side of the family. They are fraternal twins and almost polar opposites in personality. Tyler is calm and quiet, Taylor is wild and loud. They are both cute and sweet, of course.

My Husband

I married Andrew on October 17, 1987. We lived in Knoxville, TN for seven years then moved to North Pole, AK. Before we were married he lived in Alaska and fell in love with it. I always knew that there was a really great possibility we would move here. We did in March of 1995. Andrew has been a carpenter/contractor ever since I have known him. He is very talented and artistic. I will try to post a few pictures of some of his work. He owns Apex General Contracting and Roofing, Inc.
Andrew loves to hunt. He especially enjoys hunting big game animals. I am sure I will be posting alot of his hunting pictures as I find the time. He enjoys fishing but not as much as hunting. Maybe I can even get him on here to tell some big hunting stories.

Hi!!

Well, I haven't a clue what I am doing, but I refuse to be left in the dust and the ruins of the technologically impaired. So I will slowly try to add info to this blog that might interest those who know me and my family. Now.... if I can just figure out how to add a picture. Hmmmmm...
