You go girl!!!! Woooooohooooo!!!

OK folks.... I admit.... I was extreeeeeeemly disappointed when I woke up this morning to find that John McCain is taking our governor away. We voted for her two years ago so that change and "new energy" (one of her campaign slogans) could take place in OUR state!! So, I'm jealous... but what will be a "loss" for the Great State of Alaska, will be the biggest gain in our country to ever happen.

When she was elected, she wasted no time in slashing unneccesary programs... the Bridge to Nowhere, the former governor's unneeded jet that he bought with tax payers money, and the list goes on.

So now I say, let's get behind the ticket... yes, she is inexperienced (where John McCain has experience) and she has expertise that we need... like helping us to get away from foreign dependence on oil. She is strong pro-life, having just given birth to a Down's Syndrome baby in April. She and her husband, Todd, never once gave a thought to aborting!! Wooooohoooo!! I think she should be the next president.... maybe they should change the ticket to John McCain being VP and she being Commander in Chief!!! Yeah!! OK, now I'm rambling. Anyway, an exciting day for Alaskans and Americans.

And, by the way, her name is pronounce "Pay-lin"... and her husband is a snowMACHINE racer, not a snowMOBILE racer. Puhleeeeease!!!

I find this really interesting, do you think it's just a campaign strategy to possibly get the voters that would have voted for Hillary JUST because she is a female? Don't know, this will be an interesting race though!

Lori,
I really don't think they thought they could get Hillary voters to go for her... Sarah is too conservative. I think they thought they could get the women who were not sure or Independents. She is EXTREMELY conservative. I believe I've heard she is a Christian, and I know she is strongly opposed to abortion!

Michele and Heather... thanks for the comments. I'm so glad to hear you were at the rally, I was watching and yelling and whooping it up with you... and clapping... only I was in my bedroom still in my PJ's. :)

It's great that you've posted your thoughts about her track record...I'd never even heard of her until his announcement. I was disapointed that he didn't go with Huckabee, but maybe this is a great strategy to get those on-the-fence voters. I'm anxious to see how this race goes.

We are totally excited, too. She's a class act! You didn't think you could keep something that great to yourself, didya'? :-)We listened to her speech here in Mexico on XM Radio.

We're REALLY excited too...we had heard rumors...but thought they were too good to be true. So impressed with the McCain/Palin stance on pro-life issues. Made us homesick to see pictures of Wasilla (my old Walmart stomping grounds back in the day).

Jenny,
We heard rumors too, but when she had her little Down's baby, I thought, she'll never agree to run for VP.

Also, some of the pictures they are showing of her were taken in Fairbanks at her inaugural(sp?) address. So Katie keeps saying, "I was right there" (just off the side of the screen)... so if the camera had moved just a little bit, we would be able to see Katie!! :) So fun!!

So nice to see pictures of your family in your wild and wonderful land. Neat to see a picture of Lisa with you, your finally got them to come see you. ;) When we got the news on Friday afternoon that the "next VP of the United States" was from Andrew's Alaska I knew that he "must be walking on air." She looks like a lady and how refreshing to see her kind representing Womanhood. By the way did I see those twins walking on a fence top by water? Help! Just a worried Gram. :-) I love you, Moma

All I can say is this.... I am finally excited about this election. But, I am already sick to death of hearing people say they can't vote for her because a mom with an infant has no place in the White House. She should be home with her children. Ok, honestly. Please don't even get me started. I feel like saying, "Ok, great. Lets just elect Obama." Anyways.... she is such a classy lady from what I've seen and read and I just can't imagine the positive she could do for our country.

According to the latest commenter on my blog, Sarah has ruled AK as a tyrant. Shame on you for electing a tyrant!!! :)

Thanks for the nice comments on my blog while I've been in the states and hardly had internet connection to see anyone's blog. I'm happy to be back blogging again.

I love y'all's new family picture in front of the mountains, how pretty. I enjoyed seeing y'all's vacation pictures. I too (like Gram) was a worried Aunt when I saw the twins walking that rail. =D

This lady looks like a nice one.

Mom and Heather,
I don't know if you checked the box to get any responses from this comment box. The twins look alot closer to the water than they actually are. If they fell off the rail they would fall about 4 feet to grass and they would have to roll about 15 feet to get to the water. And it isn't a very steep roll, so I think it is mostly safe! :)
