Back Yard

I decided to post some pictures of the back yard going in. Tom Smith (Max and Sherry Shelton's son-in-law) has been doing alot of work around the house this summer and also helping for the job in Ft, Yukon. So he and his wife, Chrystal, and Daniel Ridenour (a guy from our church) were out there putting the seed, fertilizer and water on the lawn. Chrystal is watering in this picture.

The light patch on the top left of the picture is where we are planning to put a swing set/playground-type area with pea gravel for the kids. The trampoline is straight back behind the largest white tree.
Here is what the front of the house looks like now. Hopefully in about 10 days or so I can post a picture that has a nice green lawn. We also plan to plant a few birch trees in the lawn as well, but that will need to be in the late summer or fall.
These are my favorite wild flowers here in Alaska. They are wild roses and they smell delicious but they bloom only about two or three weeks.

Thanks, Vonnie, for your nice comment on my blog. Sorry that your mangos there are $2.00 each.
=( We are able to buy them, all sliced up in a cup for 20 cents or so. BUT...if we want to buy yellow cheese, and things like that, we have to pay higher than American prices!

Come see us, and we'll treat you to mangos, limon, y sal, y mucha mas comida RICA por gratis! =)

Love ya, Heather =)

Your lawn is going to be beautiful. It will go well with your gorgeous house.
After seeing your comments on my blog, Vonnie, I realized that I should have also posted a picture of the beautiful Northern Lights that you all get to see. Enjoy seeing glimpses into the glory of God up there in AK.

Love you all, Phillip
