After and unusually warm last week of April.... we are pretty much "out of" snow!! We have been collecting the State Coins for the last 9 or 10 years. We just kept checking them as we got them and got the last one yesterday. It was the Arizona State Quarter. As you can see, the board we collected them on is from 10 years ago and has had it's share of wear and tear. I'm actually a little sad that it's over. It's been fun!

I got the cutest little Easter Basket today as a hostess gift from Marie Plank. It is pale pink glass, and then she got me some spring-colored Peanut M&M's to fill it. We loved having the Newton's and the Plank's over tonight for dinner. What a great time we had!!

Yesterday morning in church we had our "School service". This helps the people stay connected with our school and what is needed and who is doing what. The 7th and 8th grade Bible class had the service, led by Miss Marlene Kerley. The kids sang and gave testimonies, then Drew gave a little sermon about God's presence. We had a little celebration for Josh and Jodi for all of the Alaskan friends who weren't able to get to their wedding. A. Gwen and U. Dwane had it in their garage. I made some halibut chowder the other day... it was yummy... just what you need to warm you up on a cold day. I also made my favorite dinner rolls... they have oats in them. Drew has a project he's doing for History. They are supposed to make a home just like the settlers would have done back when the "New World" was being populated. We had a quick two night trip to Valdez this past Wednesday through Friday. It was cold and rainy, but we really can't complain because most of the time when we go to Valdez we are fortunate enough to get really great, warm days... at least for one day each trip we've made. The ladies that are out here 24/7 have this cooking for 60 down to a science. They are doing an awesome job and have their menus made out weeks in advance. Yesterday we had our Pregnancy Center's Walk for Life. It was sooooo fun! For one thing it was a perfect day. The weather could not have been better. The temp was about 75 and very sunny. My little girls are growing up. Heidi got her license last week and she has been driving her sister around lately. Most Pregnancy Centers around the country do a spring tea as a fundraiser and we are no different. Ours was today and I took a few pictures, it's so fun!!This was the table I sat at. When we first bought this house we built a bedroom for each girl, so that each girl would have her very own room. We were assured by each girl that they would LOVE to have their own room all by themselves. The girls are in the play "Robin Hood" at school. Heidi plays "Mother Meg", she's the cook for Robin Hood and his men. Katie plays "Will Scarlet", one of Robin's men.
